乙酸乙酯（醋酸乙酯）为无色透明、易挥发液体，具有醚样果香气味（菠萝香型），是应用最广的酯类有机溶剂之一。微溶于水，与乙醇、丙酮、乙醚、氯仿、苯等多数有机溶剂互溶。

Ethyl acetate (acetic ester) is a colorless, clear, volatile liquid with an ether-like fruity (pineapple) odor. It is one of the most widely used ester solvents. Slightly soluble in water; miscible with ethanol, acetone, ether, chloroform, benzene and most organic solvents.

广泛应用于油墨、涂料、油漆、人造革、胶黏剂、塑料制品、医药（萃取剂/反应介质）、食用香料（GB 2760 允许使用）及化妆品等领域；亦为分析试剂与色谱（GC/HPLC）标准溶剂。
