氯苯（又称一氯苯、氯代苯、苯基氯）为无色透明、易挥发的液体，具有类似杏仁的气味。化学性质较稳定，氯原子与苯环共轭，不易水解。

Chlorobenzene (also monochlorobenzene, benzene chloride, phenyl chloride) is a clear, colorless, volatile liquid with a characteristic almond-like odor. It is relatively stable; the chlorine atom is conjugated with the benzene ring and not readily hydrolyzed.

本品是重要的芳香族有机合成中间体，亦曾作为溶剂使用（因环境与健康顾虑，溶剂用途已趋减少）。广泛用于染料、颜料、农药与橡胶化学品中间体，以及有机硅生产等。
